With a reputation as a premier safari operator in the region, they have been instrumental in introducing high-end travel to these safari destinations.

As the National Key Account Manager, based at their Head Office in Cape Town, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring and expanding their market presence and visibility. We are looking for a driven individual who can propel performance and is well-versed in tourism and hospitality. Your mission will involve fostering personalized experiences led by exceptional safari guides known for their expertise, enthusiasm, and capability to bring the African wilderness to life.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Account Management, inclusive of product training, review meetings, networking, and engaging with stakeholders
  • Sales Operations focusing on maintaining a healthy sales pipeline and increasing market share
  • Effective Stakeholder management
  • Enhancing the overall guest experience
  • Contributing to building and upkeeping the brand's image and reputation
The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in:

  • Proven Strategic Account Management within the travel industry
  • Minimum 5 years of senior Sales management expertise
  • Passion for delivering exceptional service and value to agents
  • Keen awareness of competitor activities and industry trends
  • Comprehensive Competitor and Product Knowledge
  • Effective Selling Skills including upselling and closing deals
  • Proficiency in CRM systems
  • Enthusiasm for African travel and willingness to promote remote safari experiences
  • Strong leadership qualities and innovative mindset
  • Commercial acumen and insight
  • Ability to motivate and inspire teams
  • Critical and strategic thinking abilities
  • Flexible, adaptable, and willing to pivot based on business needs
  • Outstanding interpersonal and active listening skills
  • Confident communicator with excellent networking abilities
  • Willingness to travel regularly to engage with key agents nationwide
