Your Purpose To inspire people to live active lives To make exercise irresistible for our members, using all Exercise-related programmes as a tool to ensure, consistent value-add and top-class member experiences, resulting in repeat member visits and retention. Your Duties and Responsibilities To at all times do your bit towards achieving our purpose to Inspire people to live an active life, this is achieved by believing and living our values through all we do, always innovating, inspiring people, have fun and do the right thing. Provide a welcoming environment to all new members via a comprehensive induction to the club facility, as well as consistently irresistible exercise experiences. Promoting and supporting this via the 30-day Kickstart ancillary strategy Attract, recruit and retain a team of Rockstar Fitness Instructors & Group Exercise Instructors in line with the club FTE & budget Complete detailed company induction with Fitness, Group Exercise Instructors & independent contractors Provide the Club Exercise Team with the opportunity to maximize their personal and professional development through regular training, coaching and feedback Develop optimum staffing schedules to ensure adequate floor coverage Actively promote all relevant ancillary offerings to both new and existing members, prioritizing an irresistible member experience Implement and effectively deliver on all exercise-related strategies in the club Invest in your own self-development through formal training, continued education and on-the-job learning opportunities Maximize the member experience and engagement through the delivery of small group exercise classes and member events Expand and optimize the group exercise offering and timetable in your club Ensure daily capturing of attendance, analyzing class performance and report on success in your club (or identify gaps and action plans to speedily address any under-performance to speedily attain required standards) Ensure that all group exercise locations are in excellent condition regarding sound systems and all other equipment Drive continued education (CECs) with all staff, independent contractors and the Group Exercise Instructor base of your club and ensure 100% CEC requirement is met Maximize member engagement through Group Exercise in the facility with Red Hot events, such as, FITFEST & DJ evenings, etc. Increase Mobile app engagement and GEX bookings in your club Build an excellent Group Exercise instructor community in your club Utilize the GEX & PT Mentors to assess and continually support the improvement and development of the current group exercise instructor and Personal training base in line with Virgin Active brand standards Continuously seek out opportunities to increase and improve on Group Exercise offerings regarding club space Ensure effective, on brand in-club marketing of all exercise aspects Introduce, drive and optimize a GEX invitation system in your club Make use of company approved marketing and campaign tools to promote Personal Training and Group Exercise to your members Ensure a safe floor environment via the implementation, and adherence to all standardized and relevant Health and Safety requirements, Ops Standards and Brilliant Basics Our Minimum Requirements We can't live without Matric qualification A recognized Fitness Qualification A recognized Group Exercise Qualification A minimum of 2 years experience within the Fitness. A minimum of 1 years experience in managing people / teams Exceptional people leadership skills High energy levels A strong team player Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships Experience in teaching a variety of Group Exercise classes We'd like you to have Adaptability (must be able to adapt to a fast paced, changing environment) Be curious (must be willing to succeed, seek opportunities to learn and grow) Have a winning mentality (must be willing to go over and above to achieve success) Must be motivated to achieve success.
