A well known and established client in East London is looking for a Technical Sales (Solar) Person to join their team
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Sales Person to join our solar energy team. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise and sales acumen, enabling them to effectively communicate the benefits of solar technology and drive sales growth. This role involves working closely with customers to understand their energy needs, providing tailored solutions, and ensuring a seamless sales process from initial contact to installation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Engagement: Identify and engage potential clients through various channels, including networking, referrals, and marketing campaigns.
- Conduct needs assessments to understand customer requirements and provide customized solar solutions.
- Technical Consultation: Explain complex solar technologies and system components in a clear and accessible manner.
- Provide detailed product information, technical specifications, and performance data to clients.
- Sales Process Management: Develop and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
- Negotiate contracts and close sales deals, ensuring customer satisfaction and alignment with company goals.
- Market Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape.
- Provide insights and feedback to the marketing and product development teams to refine strategies and offerings.
- Customer Support: Address any technical or service-related inquiries from clients, providing solutions or escalating issues as necessary.
- Follow up with client’s post-installation to ensure system performance and customer satisfaction.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, project management, and installation teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development to stay current with industry advancements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., NABCEP) are a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical sales, preferably within the solar or renewable energy sector.
- Strong understanding of solar technologies, including photovoltaic systems, inverters, and energy storage solutions.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, with excellent negotiation and closing skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical information.
- Strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service and building lasting client relationships.
- Ability to analyze customer needs, market trends, and technical specifications to deliver effective solutions.
- Flexibility to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing industry trends and technologies.
