Senior Key Account Manager (based at Century City) (Permanent position, salary R75 000 to R83 000 per month)

Position Summary
Manage Key Account Managers and associated projects. Accountable for overall performance of general operations.
Apply strategic client retention solutions and integrate these with business development, ensuring service excellence.
Key Accountabilities/ Principal Responsibilities: Project Operational performances
• Account for overall General Operations relating to project delivery performance
• Report on key focus areas linked to strategy i.e. general operations performance
• Support KAM’s current and planned processes, and timelines
• Ensure that all SLAs are in line with project requirements and master service agreement
• Ensure that SLA’s are compliant with QMS standards
Contract Management
• Contractual SLA compliance
• Contractual correspondence
• Audit KAM’s contractual compliance
• Contractual reporting and escalation
Finance
• Accountable for project financial Revenue, GP and NP outputs
• Ensure that the P&L and AR have been reviewed and addressed proactively
• Attend monthly P&L meetings
• Manage cost of sales and cost optimisation
• Manage, mitigate and report on Financial Risks
Business Development
• Identify additional projects within existing contracts
• Responsible for leading tenders (pricing and methodology)
• Present to potential clients
• Initiate processes to improve efficiencies utilised in the bid process
Integration of support services and Ops Team
• Manage relationship between operations and support services including OHS, Procurement, Bids Department, Marketing, Finance and Human Resources
• Establish communication protocols regarding the business strategy and measure progress
• Identify opportunities to centralise functions within the support services
• Initiate forums where strategies are outlined and implemented
Operations
• Support Key Accounts Manager (KAMs) with regular client engagement
• Escalate high level operational and contractual matters
• Mobilise new contracts
Resource Management
• Manage performance of the Key Accounts Managers (KAMs)
• Manage resources and development
• Assist KAMs and provide guidance on behavioural competencies, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement
• Engage with EE Committees to support Company’s compliance
Key Skills and Experience
• Grade 12
• Qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is an advantage
• Minimum 10 - 15 years in Facilities Management at senior management level and leading large teams of professionals and staff
• Good knowledge of soft and technical skills in a Property and Facilities Management environment
• Good understanding of legislation applicable to corporate operations
• General business acumen, and good understanding of corporate governance requirements and applications
• Profit driven
• Sound knowledge of generating, maintaining, and managing contracts and SLAs
• Experience in drafting business plans and marketing plans
• Experience in generating budgets and financials, including P&L and income statements
• Experience in generating KPIs and delivering on them
• Good understanding of corporate structuring, grading and staff deployment skills
• Understanding of Employment Equity and Labour Relations
• Understanding of financial accounting and billing systems and structures
• Understanding of IT and operational IT requirements
• Practical experience in Senior Key Account Management
• Experience in managing contracts such as GCC, NEC, JBCC is an advantage
• People and Management Skills
• Strong leadership qualities and a confident decision maker
• Possess the drive to oversee and take ownership of the activities in the business
• Ability to work in close partnership with all stakeholdersExcellent interpersonal skills in working with multicultural teams across all levels, with focus on tact, diplomacy and rapport building
• Communicate effectively in both written and verbal form
• Commitment to professional and ethical values and standards
• Analytical reasoning ability and capable of making fast informed decisions on complex matters to ensure the continuity of service to the clients’ facilities
• Excellent financial, commercial, business development and HR Acumen to support the improvement of business performance
