Essential Skills and Requirements:
  • Experience in IT Event Management solutions like ServiceNow ITOM, BMC TrueSight, etc.
  • Technical knowledge and experience in IT Operations Management solutions (ITOM)
  • In-depth working knowledge of IT Infrastructure and Platforms - Operating systems like Linux and Windows, Networks, Databases, Web technologies, and Cloud technology (AWS, Azure, Google)
  • Experience in Shell, Perl, JavaScript, and a higher programming language (e.g., Java) with 5+ years of experience
  • Experience and implementation of ITIL v4, especially for Problem, Incident, Change (PIC), and Manage Events processes
  • Ability to take on additional responsibilities as assigned in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Team Charter
Advantageous Skills:
  • Ability to conceptualize complex information and perform detailed analysis when required
  • Experience with the Agile Methodology
  • Understanding and implementing automation to increase efficiency and handle repetitive tasks
  • Balancing technical skills with business acumen to align IT goals with business objectives
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships between IT and the business
  • Excellent communication skills at senior engagement levels
  • Ability to relate and interact with a variety of stakeholders at different organizational levels internationally
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including intercultural understanding
  • Proactive in providing new ideas for process and work method improvement

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in handling pressure and being resilient in stressful situations
  • Willing and able to travel internationally when required
Qualifications and Experience Required:
  • Fluent English-speaking, including business reading and writing
  • Information technology qualification (Degree, Diploma, Certificate)
  • ServiceNow certifications (ITOM)
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in IT Operations Management
Role and Responsibilities:
  • Support the migration/transformation of existing IT Event Management (ITIL), currently based on BMC TrueSight, to ServiceNow ITOM
  • Continuously enhance the new ServiceNow ITOM solution by deeper integration into ServiceNow Config and Service Management
  • Support the monitoring solutions to integrate into ServiceNow ITOM
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for the ServiceNow ITOM solution, specifically in Event Management and the Workflow Engine for the Monitoring Ordering Portal
  • Gather requirements related to new monitoring functions from IT departments
  • Develop enhancements defined in user stories in collaboration with providers
  • Provide support to ITOM customers regarding the use of IT Operations Management environments
  • Responsible for all required documentation, including Operations manuals, security, test concepts, etc.
  • Conduct testing and create/update documentation, such as user guides and guidelines
  • Submit, update, and maintain knowledge articles related to key topics within the scope of services supported
  • Support IT governance and audit requirements to maintain compliance and operational integrity
  • Interact with clients, including IT service consumers, suppliers, and users, to maintain service quality and manage relationships
