Responsible for aligning business objectives with employees & management for our several locations in South Africa. The position formulates partnerships across the HR Matrix organization to deliver value-added service to management & employees that refects the business objectives of the organization. Consult with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate. Analyse trends and metrics in partnership with the HR COEs to develop solutions, programs and policies.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Manage Trade Union, Bargaining Council and employers organizations relationships.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with the legal department as needed/required.
  • Implements, maintains and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, Commissions, benefits, garnishments, taxes, merit increases and other deductions. Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates with the SAGE System.
  • Improve objective decision-making processes, by devising inventive ways of addressing workplace bias, and promoting inclusive environments which provide opportunities for all employees through Employment Equity and Skills Development.
  • Identifying OH&S hazards and conducting a risk assessment as well as developing an
  • OH&S action plan and effectively implementing it within the branches.
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counselling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 10 years experience in a HRBP function.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines.
  • Strong people management skills.
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable
  • South African labour laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies according
  • to MIBCO.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to navigate a matrix organization.
  • Ability and willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
  • Fluent in English
