Candidate Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field is required
  • Must have proven experience as a Head of Sales or similar leadership role in the travel and hospitality industry
  • Should have strong knowledge of the African luxury travel market
  • Must have excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Should have the ability to work independently and lead a remote team
  • Must be a strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset
  • Must have the willingness and ability to travel frequently across Africa and internationally

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategies
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with travel industry partners, tour operators, and corporate clients
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations to expand market reach
  • Oversee the sales pipeline, reporting, and forecasting to ensure sustainable growth
  • Work closely with the marketing team to align sales strategies with brand campaigns and initiatives
  • Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events internationally
  • Travel extensively to build and maintain client relationships and partnerships
  • Monitor market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities to adjust strategies accordingly

This is a live out position, extensive travel is required internationally
Salary: R45kpm-R60kpm (DOE)
