Bakery products are an exciting sector within the Food Industry offering interesting jobs and enabling socio-economically aware staff to be part of the food supply chain, and take pride in that within a progressive company aspiring to high work standards.

We are now looking for a

OD & T&D Officer
We employ well in excess of 200 staff at this stage, having rapidly grown from a somewhat smaller base.

We have engaged a consultant to assist us in the OD, T&D and related development work, and need to establish the internal capacity to take on the results of this work and then consistently refine processes, approaches and services.

Reporting to the HR Manager the following KPAs are to be satisfied by the successful incumbent:1.

Organisation Development Support Services:
Enable organigramme and job descriptions based staffing control; maintaining structures and job descriptions as a base to rewards and development management

2.
Recruitment & Screening Services (allocations between HR professionals): Proactively initiate and coordinate recruitment for vacancies and planned positions, ensuring effective screening and short-list provision as well as in-depth screening support services to managers

Employment & Onboarding Services:
Coordinate with the job incumbent, employing manager, and others involved in inputs provision for induction and onboarding, and institutionalize an effective process serving rapid engagement of new staff

HR Induction & Probation Period Coordination Services (B- C5 level staff): Coordinate HR induction Process into subsequent systematic probation management, leading to full employment once successful

Employment Pool Availability & Database Integrity:
Develop and refine an employment pool and the effective sourcing of company relevant competences, to serve effective staffing

Performance Management Coordination Services:
Coordinate the bi
- to tri-annual performance management processes and generally support the follow-through of a systematic and operationally integrated approach to performance management

HR & Related Projects:
Part-take and where agreed lead HR projects with typically an OD and T&D slant

Staff Development Support Services:
In alignment with competency requirements, performance management and resultant development needs coordinate the development and training remedies that will cost-effectively develop staff competence and confidence (and serve retention of staff)

9.

HR Reporting, Communications & Advisory Services Integrity:
Develop and institute effective functional reporting and further progressive use of systems and digitization in HR with an emphasis on OD and T&D

10.

General Admin & Support Services:
Assist within an emerging HR function across the different development and support areas to establish a competent HR services and support function

This requires a good insight into the role of HR management in capacity onboarding, development and management, and the processes involved in structuring, staffing control, job descriptions, competence, performance management and associated support processes
