JOB TITLE
Procurement & Logistics Officer

JOB PURPOSE


Forming part of the Shared Services dept., the Procurement and Logistics officer oversees and performs the company's procurement and logistics activities that includes the receipt of stock/biological samples, under the guidance of the Senior Procurement Officer and Procurement manager.


RESPONSIBILITIES (may include, but not limited to):

  • Read, write, review and update standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Identify suitable suppliers/vendors based on company needs.
  • Maintain good relations with vendors/evaluation and review of vendors (approval).
  • Receive and manage incoming orders/courier requests.
  • Request quotes, Issue Purchase Orders, manage shipments (timelines/document management).
  • Review of products and services to suit company needs.
  • Place orders/ETA request and management.
  • Receive stock/Biological Samples, e.g. using a database/LIMS.
  • Manage Delivery Notes/Good Received Vouchers.
  • Develop/maintain accurate purchase and inventory records.
  • Stock take: Participate, oversee and manage outcomes.
  • Preparing budgets, performing cost analysis and reports for review
  • Preparing purchase plans, cost review
  • Maintaining the supplier database

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma or degree in procurement/logistics.
  • Three to five years' experience in relevant field.
  • Strong background using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, other software platforms.
  • Position level will be determined based on skills, education & experience.
