**Job Description

  • Job Description**Supports the Cash Management & Bank Recons Coordinator to develop, implement, maintain, and manage the Cash Management strategy for the EMEA region in accordance with GSS principles and strategic intent (based on business resource requirements).


Ensures effective service delivery to the Business Units against pre-defined criteria generally referred to as Key Performance Indicators as defined in Service Level Agreements with various Business Units.

Encompasses the governance structure of the Cash Management section.

The role focuses on building strong business relationships and adding value through quality work output, optimal customer service, continuous improvement, and a control orientation.


More of your responsibilities will include:

  • Review and release foreign payments / journals in the ERP systems
  • Review and approve foreign payment proposals
  • Ensure the vendor master data is up to data and liaise with Treasury Centralised Static Data Team when updates are required to the ERP System
  • Ensure delivery of high quality and timely Accounts Payable deliverables that meet the requirements of Line Managers, Project team, Group Treasury, Supply Chain and Embedded Finance
  • Ensure compliance to relevant policies and procedures
  • Assist the Sec Accounts Payable Coordinator to manage the rollout of new/updated policies and procedures applicable to the Accounts Payable team
  • Identify and monitor escalated query trends
  • Ensure effective communication and conflict management with peers and stakeholders
  • Assist Accounts Payable Coordinator to proactively meet targets as per the SLA.
  • Ensure that all client queries are timeously resolved
  • Prepare nonresident ZAR online banking or manual payment instructions
  • Assist with system upgrades, new process implementations and any other relevant testing in the Payment System
  • Additional GSS activities Ad hoc

This role is at a Band 7 level reporting to the Cash Management Manager

  • Qualifications
  • Relevant Diploma or Degree in Finance
  • Post grad in Finance (not but advantageous essential)

Experience Required:

  • 3+ years in Treasury and Finance
  • Training (peer to peer to supervisory level)
  • Proven track record and related experience in financial accounting and settlement functions

Technical Knowledge:

  • SAP
  • Treasury Systems (Quantum experience preferable)
  • Exchange controls
  • Electronic Baking Systems (SWIFT)
  • Knowledges of the Exchange Control rules set by the SA Reserve Bank
  • Financial Reports
