  • Our client is building the world's most credible source of streaming cryptocurrency information. They also provide crypto education to thousands of students and have a community base of over a million people. We are recruiting for an experienced Head of Data / BI Manager to analyse and derive insights from digital data to inform and design the business strategy for their crypto currency school.
  • We are looking for a Head of Data to join our team in Cape Town. As the Head of Data, you will be responsible for setting the strategy for making us a datadriven company and implementing the systems and tools to execute that strategy. Topnotch Excel/Google Sheets skills are a must.
  • You will also be the main technical point of contact for our exchange partners and work with them to automate our verification (sponsorship) process with the exchanges. The process involves verifying student accounts for our courses by having them sign up for an exchange account with one of our exchange partners and deposit $100 funds for trading into their exchange accounts. Investigating any issues and streamlining the verification process will be part of your role.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a data analysis role, preferably within a startup environment or a fastpaced industry
  • Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data manipulation
  • Experience working with APIs and SQL databases
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to identify key insights and trends from complex data sets
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis and A/B testing methodologies
  • Understanding of web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Mixpanel) and tracking implementation best practices
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work crossfunctionally with product, marketing, and engineering teams
  • A passion for crypto education and a desire to help us achieve our mission of taking crypto mainstream through education
