Job Summary


To attract new to bank clients to Absa Business Bank (SME, Growth, Premium and High Value Segments) as well as expansion of existing clients through the pro-active selling of financial solutions (Advances, transactional primacy i.e.

Business Evolve, Online Banking, Cash and Card Acquiring Solutions) to meet clients' needs.


The focus would be on creating awareness and sales opportunities (acquisitions) in the various business banking segments that do not bank with Absa and new business acquisition of existing Absa clients in the market.

Objectives


The Acquisition Dealmaker reports to the Head of Wholesale, Retail and Franchise with support from the National Business Development Managers that are responsible for the various sub sector focuses i.e.

Restaurant & Quick Service Restaurants, Wholesale and Retail FMCG, Automotive and Consumer Services.

Responsibilities:

To attract quality new business into the business

To achieve contracted growth targets

Compile action plans to achieve set objectives and targets and monitor performance against plans Keep abreast of business trends in the assigned catchment area and on all competitors' offerings and activities in the market Identify and establish a network of relevant role players to ensure a continuous supply of quality leads Active participation in the region's marketing initiatives Provide business leads for all other business areas on a regular basis

To achieve contracted profitability targets

Encourage maximum product utilization through profitable cross selling Refer leads obtained to relevant business areas Follow up leads referred to other business areas Manage profitable pricing on new transactions

To maintain acceptable credit risk within new business

To manage career and personal development

Partner with management in determining own future and career development Keep abreast of all relevant training interventions
