  • Here is an opportunity to join a reputable distributor of leading global branded apparel and footwear. The National Sales Manager for a soughtafter brand of sportswear would be responsible for developing and implementing the wholesale strategy, driving sales and brand positioning.

Responsibilities:

  • To execute the wholesale growth strategy that will drive sales and maximise profitability within Wholesale.
  • Responsible for achieving the agreed objectives and sales targets for the Wholesale Channel and execution of the regional sales plan.
  • Keep abreast of emerging markets, market shifts with an awareness of new products and competition status, providing market and customer feedback.
  • Directly manage the top five accounts of the brand.
  • Build and promote strong commercial relationships with new and existing Clients by understanding their needs and objectives.
  • Partner with wholesale accounts to drive effective demand management on event forecasting for instore activities (e.g. promotions).
  • Liaise with Clients regarding instore space allocations.
  • Analysis, tracking and reporting of key metrics and overall performance of the brand.
  • Provide input into the assortment planning cycle to ensure the range presented drives volume growth and builds the brand at wholesale.
  • To organise and prepare for range launch and sell in of seasonal product lines.
  • Monitor account performance to understand the account's priorities, challenges and successfully resolve issues of concern in a manner that builds the account relationship and revenue.
  • To provide realistic plans and forecasts based on customer performance and to ensure continuous monitoring of sell out data and cost effective orderbook conversion.
  • To drive and manage a high performing Sales team with a focus on teamwork and accountability, to deliver the commercial performance of the Brand in order to grow market share and exceed the financial targets.
Education & Experience Requirements

  • Essential
: Matric

  • Desirable: Relevant business/retail tertiary qualification
  • Essential
: 5+ years sales management experience within the wholesale channel in a retail environment

  • Essential
: Valid driver's license and own vehicle
