A market-leading South African ISP is looking for a Relationship Manager (Sales) to join their team.

Purpose:

  • To ensure that a healthy business relationship is established between the company and its channel partners who are the growth engine for the ISP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare sales activity plans for each channel partner monthly with clear direction on how targets will be achieved.
  • Ensure effective relationships with channel partners are build and fostered for mutual growth.
  • Undertake trade visits every week and report back on channel activity and competitor activity incl FNOs.
  • Develop pipeline for new channel partners.
  • Manage existing channels and ensure that there is an improvement in performance against the business plan for the period.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reviews per channel partner and propose improvement priorities.
  • Support the functions of the CPHD.
  • Ensure that all channel partner tickets are resolved across the various support functions within the company.
  • Compile and distribute agreements (with support from legal), letters to channel partners, trade bulletins, etc.
  • Prepare and execute a trade marketing plan and set of activities linked to sales outcomes.

Qualifications /

Experience:

  • Matric mandatory, tertiary education preferred.
  • At least 5 years' experience in managing informal distribution channels.
  • Strong track record of delivering against target and overcoming a challenging marketplace.
  • Must be an effective written communicator.
  • Must have business acumen and Moderate Excel skills.
  • Able to work after hours, over weekend and public holidays.
  • Telco, FMCG industry experience is preferred.

Systems & Proficiency:

  • MS suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Will be measured on:

  • Sales Targets (of channel partners).
  • Sales Administration.
  • Relationship Management.
  • Product and Regional mix.
  • NPS.
  • EBITDA.
