Job Overview:
We are looking for a talented Business Development Coordinator to collaborate closely with the Business Development Manager or CEO to play a key role in supporting business growth initiatives, building client relationships, and assisting in strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Research and Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential business opportunities, industry trends, and competitor activities.
- Analyze market data to pinpoint target markets and develop effective business strategies.

Lead Generation and Prospecting:
- Assist in generating leads through various channels like networking events, cold calling, and online platforms.
- Qualify leads and set up meetings or presentations for senior management.

Proposal and Presentation Preparation:
- Support in creating proposals, presentations, and sales materials for client meetings and pitches.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure consistent messaging and branding.

Bid/RFQ Support & Management:
- Aid in executing bid strategies to secure successful bids, including market research and intelligence.
- Manage bid/proposal information systems, ensuring accuracy and currency of data.
- Lead on multiple funding applications and grants.

Ensure meticulous documentation of all bid and project details such as project plans and lessons learned.

Track actions from meetings and ensure timely follow-up.
- Meet bid deadlines and gather feedback on proposals.

Client Relationship Management:
- Assist in nurturing and managing strong relationships with current clients.
- Coordinate client communications, address inquiries, and ensure client satisfaction.

Sales Support:
- Help in negotiating and finalizing deals by supporting the senior management team.
- Monitor sales activities, update CRM systems, and generate sales performance reports.

Strategic Planning:
- Participate in strategic planning sessions, offering insights based on market research and client feedback.
- Contribute to the development of business development strategies and tactics.

Project Support:

Complete administrative and spreadsheet tasks related to projects as directed by the New Business team.

Update project plans post-project meetings.
- Ensure circulation of project actions and follow up with key individuals.

Coordinate activities at bid/project completion, including sharing project information and knowledge, and disseminating lessons learned.


Minimum Requirements:
- Relevant Certification, degree, or diploma in fields like Business, Management, Communication, Media Studies, Statistics, Operational Research, Marketing, Advertising, Administration, Psychology, Commerce, etc.
- Excellent Written and Verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
- Innovative thinker with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Experience in task prioritization.
- Thorough understanding of organizational business processes.
- Project planning and implementation expertise.
- Ability to handle tasks independently or as part of a team under minimal supervision.
- Detail-oriented with strong budgeting acumen.
- Client-focused and service-oriented.
- Proficient in relevant technological applications for the organization's operations.
