Position Summary

Providing soft and technical facilities management services to a portfolio of client sites. Responsible to run, manage, operate and control these services. Manage staff, resources and infrastructure. Ensure cost control, budgeting and profitability. Ensure quality of product and services. Strategic and operational leadership to client and staff.

Key Accountabilities:

Extended Duties

Contractual strategy and management

  • Develop, agree and manage a robust strategy and annual plans for the contract, to meet the contractual requirements, as well as operational and financial business targets
  • Ensure the contract is optimally structured, managed and populated to increase operational efficiency
  • Focus on future direction of the contract, to include implementation of continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen the customer relationship and service delivery in soft and technical services
  • Ensure a best practice framework is in place for the delivery of the contract, using processes, procedures and systems aligned to the company quality policy
  • Conduct regular reviews of processes, procedures, plans, monitoring and taking action to ensure business objectives are met, including submitting accurate and timely reports
  • SLA Management, compliance & governance
  • Performance reporting to the Client and business.
Strategic Leadership

  • Work closely with soft services and technical teams to set vision, strategic roadmap and business plan, establishing key objectives and deliverables, with wellstructured plans for efficient and lean allocation of resources.
  • Provide strategic evaluation of the best practices, technologies and the synergies that those practices and technologies could generate within the project, ensuring that sustainability and innovation are embedded into both.
  • Determine how potential best practice and technology innovations would be industrialised and commercialised within the project
  • Define and implement effective organisational and operational structures to meet soft and technical services objectives.
  • Develop and maintain links with external professional bodies and standards organisations to remain aligned the soft and technical services.
Monitoring and Assessing Technologies for Projects

  • Serve as advisor to senior executives to identify, assess, and investigate highreturn technologies and innovation on the contract.
  • Monitor new technologies and assessing their potential to become new products of services.
  • Oversee the selection of research projects to insure they have the potential to add value to the client.
  • Design and implement relevant procedures and work instructions and systems of control to comply with the relevant soft services and technical services requirements.
Manage Technical services / maintenance and product development

  • Oversee and manage all technical maintenance requirements and implementation thereof, and ensure Technical Supervisors, their direct subordinates and contractors' timeous execution of maintenance.
  • Provide technical vision to all reporting staff to complement the business vision, setting the tone and direction for the company and client technologies.
  • Ensure policies and practices are constructed to attain the right placement of technical staff and oversee compliance thereof.
  • Establish formal and informal networks to implement the policies and to insure they are aligned throughout the client contract.
  • Ensure compliance to the Service Level Agreement for technical services. Where remedy is required, identify and action to ensure any risk is mitigated.
  • Ensure technical services QMS standards are adhered to.
  • Ensure SLA contractual commitments are adhered to.
  • Conduct monthly review of technical services with the client.
Manage Soft services and product development

  • Oversee and manage all soft service requirements and implementation thereof, and ensure Technical Supervisors, Soft Service Coordinators, their direct subordinates and contractors' timeous execution of services.
  • Ensure work activities are properly managed and fit for purpose specifications, taskbased schedules are been implemented and adhered to.
  • Have oversight of all audits and ensure these are conducted regularly to maintain good levels of the cleaning standards and action any nonconformances.
  • Ensure time and motion of all task is undertaken and that resource levels are adequate to meet specifications.
