JD Specialized Recruitment_ is currently assisting an exclusive 5* Boutique Hotel to recruit an energetic
FINANCIAL CONTROLLER to join their team.


Qualifications / Experience:

  • Financial Management Degree (Bcom)
  • At least 5 years' experience in a hospitality environment


 Computer literate
  • Advanced Excel Skills and Pastel/Sage experience required.
  • Opera Experience preferred or similar PMS system.
  • Knowledge of SQL would be beneficial or similar data mining tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate and timeously recording and reporting for business unit.
  • Maintaining and improving financial standards and discipline
  • Managing finance deadlines
  • Producing timely management accounts for interpretation and analysis
  • Responsible for compiling budgets and forecasts
  • Submission of weekly cashflow reports to Head Office
  • Management of intercompany transactions and clearing accounts
  • Reconciliation and resolution of balance sheet accounts
  • Ensuring correct authorisation and allocation of business expenditure
  • Maintains and control of stock procedures and assisting with stock counts
  • Conducting internal audits for business units
  • Conducting meetings with various stakeholders to discuss financial performance
  • Management & training of department team
  • Continuously develop and implement systems and procedures.
  • Monitoring the vehicle fleet through statistical reporting
  • Reviewing all creditor payment before payment
