Enterprise Pre and Post Sales Engineer

The selected individual will have a key role in driving and advancing the Enterprise / AI strategy by leveraging their technical expertise to identify customer needs, deliver product demonstrations, presentations, 'proof-of-concepts', and support solution implementation. Moreover, they will serve as a technology advocate, trusted consultant and influential leader who communicates the Pinnacle value proposition through customer interactions. The core focus of this position will be on AI solutions, private / hybrid cloud, server and storage technologies, networking, backup, and application virtualization.


Responsibilities:
  • Acquire relevant industry certifications and keep them up to date.
  • Represent Pinnacle and/or Vendor(s) at customer events and industry conferences.
  • Participate in meetings with the sales team to identify customer challenges and potential upsell opportunities.
  • Conduct vendor presentations and training sessions for customers.
  • Showcase and professionally present enterprise products and solutions through presentations, whiteboarding, demonstrations, and 'proof-of-concepts', emphasizing the technical value of the company's offerings.
  • Develop Billing of Material (BOMs) based on customer specifications.
  • Implement and configure proposed solutions according to customer needs and best practices.
  • Work together with the team to formulate and present a business case to all stakeholders, including C-level executives and technical partners, in support of the solutions.
  • Create and update technical documentation and sales materials such as product datasheets, case studies, and whitepapers.
  • Promote the Pinnacle Enterprise and AI portfolio through customer interactions.
  • Establish trust as a reliable advisor to coworkers and clients.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and the Pinnacle Enterprise and AI product portfolio and solutions.
  • Participate in tender assessments, product/solution recommendations, and pricing.
  • Accurately price products/solutions/services as per vendor or customer requirements.

Requirements:
  • Demonstrated track record in technical Pre and Post Sales of enterprise infrastructure and software.
  • Solid background and knowledge of enterprise storage, servers, backup, networking, virtualization, converged, hyper-converged, and cloud infrastructures.
  • Over 3 years of experience in designing and implementing infrastructure solutions.
  • Proven expertise in enterprise solution design considerations and tools.
  • Skills and Education:
  • Completion of Matric with a strong foundation in mathematics is essential, and a relevant tertiary qualification would be beneficial.
  • Appropriate certification/accreditation including expertise in one or more convergence technologies.
  • Technology advocate with the capacity to engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, including C-level executives.
  • Excellent communication, networking, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills, capable of handling deadlines, planning, and prioritizing a heavy workload.
  • Above-average computer literacy in MS Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Transportation and a valid driver's license are required.
