Job description:
The mission of this role is to guide innovation teams through the process of Testing Business ideas.

Educational requirements:

  • Grade 12/Matric
  • Graduate (any degree)
  • 5 years' experience (and portfolio of evidence) with methodologies such as Design Thinking, Lean Startup, Business Model Design, but specifically including testing business ideas (The Scientific Method or similar is imperative).

Experience, Knowledge and Skills requirement:

  • Seasoned innovation coach with at least 5 years' experience in facilitating innovation workshops.
  • Proven experience designing innovation facilitation interventions.
  • Understanding of corporate challenges, such as facilitating teams doing this work in addition to their dayjob.
  • Mastery of Strategyzer (or another) methodology for testing and development of ideas/concepts.
  • Well organised with the ability to handle multiple teams, working on different concepts simultaneously.

Key responsibilities:

Assess and understand the team & concepts' current state:

  • Discovery: Ensure a clear understanding of the teams' innovation capability & capacity.
  • Program Design: Customise the Testing Business Ideas, to accommodate the teams' capability & capacity.

Design and facilitate the program:

  • Adjust the facilitation process and content according to the team and concept requirements to deliver on sponsor expectations.

Deliver Business Idea Testing result:

  • Execute the Testing Phase facilitation up to decisionmaking presentation.

Reporting:

  • Report on all project statuses and progress, including early indication of projects thateeds to be retired, due to lack of progress.
  • Work with Data Analyst to update ROIC of projects regularly.
