Shop Information Consultant - Bellville (RETAIL GARDEN CENTRE)


Multi Award Winning Nursery-Stodels is looking for a meticulous and friendly
Shop Information Consultant to assist the Support Services team at the
Bellville Garden Centre. The position will report directly to the Support Services Manager.


Main duties:

  • To be familiar with the Customer Service policy of the company and treat customers accordingly.
  • Train agreed upon staff to be able to attend to telephone and reception duties in the same manner as expected from a Shop Information Consultant.
  • Ensure that only agreed upon and therefore trained staff occupies the shop and information and answers telephone enquiries.
  • Follow up to final satisfaction and conclusion all customer enquiries on request. Answering of phones and accurately taking down of messages and the conveying thereof.
  • Provide any advice, which may be required by the customer and or to direct customers to correct departments.
  • Directs questions to Nursery Information/other departments.
  • Administrate returns and repairs of customer purchases
  • Act as Public Relationsperson of the Company market the Company in any way possible.
  • Making out of credit notes and proof of ownership slips for customer.
  • Refer customer complaints to the relevant Section Manager or Branch Manager.
  • Write customers request in the relevant register and order item.
  • Assist with the maintenance of a high level of standards in the shop.
  • Be able to give customers ALL information on the Loyalty Club Card System (have answers to all their questions) as well as the registration of new club members. Information on the Loyalty Club Card System (have answers to all their questions) as well as the registration of new club members.

  • To announce request for staff and closing time over the PA system in a professional manner.
  • Perform any other tasks as required by Senior Management to ensure the continued smooth operation of the company and to meet the company aim of high standards and high customer service.
