Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage: Supervise and manage a team of telesales representatives, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to maximise their potential and achieve sales targets
  • Set targets: Establish ambitious sales targets and develop strategies (with your team and management) to ensure their achievement
  • Monitor team performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective measures as necessary
  • Train and develop: Conduct training sessions to enhance the sales skills and product knowledge of the telesales team
  • Continuously coach and provide feedback to improve their performance and drive results
  • Monitor sales activities: Regularly monitor and evaluate sales activities, including call quality, conversion rates, and customer interactions
  • Implement monitoring systems and provide constructive feedback to improve performance
  • Provide motivation and incentives: Implement motivational programs and incentives to inspire the telesales team to exceed targets
  • Recognise and reward exceptional performance to foster a highperformance culture
  • Sales strategy development: Collaborate with the sales management team to develop effective sales strategies, identify market opportunities, and stay updated on industry trends
  • Contribute to the overall sales strategy and assist in its implementation
  • Reporting and analysis: Prepare regular sales reports and performance analysis to track individual and team progress
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on data to drive continuous improvement
  • Compliance and ethics: Ensure adherence to company policies, sales processes, and ethical standards
  • Promote a culture of integrity, professionalism, and compliance within the team

Requirements:

  • Degree or diploma in sales, commerce or a similar field
  • Excellent telephonic, verbal and written skills, with fluency in Afrikaans and English
  • 2+ years' experience of leading a sales team is essential
  • Strong analytical abilities: Proficient in analysing sales data, identifying trends, and making datadriven decisions to improve performance
  • Resultsdriven mentality: A track record of being focused on achieving sales objectives and driving team performance
  • Team management experience: Prior experience in managing a sales team, including coaching, training, and performance evaluation
  • Customer relationship management: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Strategic thinking: Capable of developing and implementing sales strategies to capitalise on market opportunities and drive growth
  • Problemsolving skills: Aptitude for identifying and resolving salesrelated issues, both at an individual and team level.
  • Adaptability and resilience: Flexibility to navigate changing market conditions, handle setbacks, and adapt strategies accordingly
