Purpose of Job:


The purpose of the senior marketing and student support coordinator at the Centre for Creative Education (CCE) is to lead the Marketing, Admissions and Student Support functions.

From a marketing perspective, the focus is on building CCE's brand awareness and reputation in the marketplace via an integrated brand communications strategy.

From an admissions perspective, the role is focused on developing a student growth strategy and plan and the execution thereof.

From a student support function the focus is on the development of a strategy and the execution plan of CCE's Student Support, Work Integrated Learning (WIL) and Bursary Program.

The WIL program operates in accordance with Higher Education regulators such as the CHE, SETA's and DHET and will require a thorough understanding of regulator expectation and the initiation and building of relationships with these partners in order to place our students into WIL programs in the workplace.

The marketing and Student Support Coordinator is also responsible for building and day-to-day management of the marketing team against the approved strategies and plans and the effective and efficient execution of these plans, reporting directly to the Registrar of the Centre of Creative Education.

This is a full-time role and the role does include the execution of all CCE institutional calendar events with the support of the CCE academics, the operations and the Academic Administration Department.

Responsibilities:

Develop, execute and report weekly on a clear and approved integrated marketing communications strategy and plan for CCE
Develop, and execute a report weekly on a clear and approved admissions strategy and plan for CCE
Develop, execute and report weekly on a clear and approved student support, bursary and work integrated learning (WIL) strategy and plan for CCE as specified by the Department of Higher Education and Training, SETA's and the Centre for Higher Education
Build external strategic partnerships to support role functions
Build and manage the marketing department responsible for marketing, admissions and student support programs and plans
Development and management of budgets
Monitor and report to relevant parties on these respective programs within CCE and externally in order to ensure effective and efficient management of these programs pro-actively

REQUIREMENTS:

Requirements:

Minimum national diploma or bachelor's degree in BComm marketing, marketing or integrated brand communications from an accredited higher education institution
1-3 years middle to senior management experience in private higher education
1-3 years middle to senior management experience on leading or managing a marketing, integrated communication and admissions team within private higher education
Knowledge and technical skills on Work Integrated Learning practices as per the Council on Higher Education and other regulators will be advantageous
Excellent verbal, written communications and presentation skills
Excellent relationship management, building and maintenance capabilities
Excellent marketing and integrated marketing communications management skills
Excellent human resource management skills
Excellent finance and budget management skills
