Petra Diamonds is a leading independent diamond mining group and an increasingly important supplier of rough diamonds to
the international market. The position is based in Gauteng.

Role Purpose:
Reporting to the Head of Sustainability, the role will build relationships and reputational capital with key

stakeholders applicable to the relevant (Group and Sustainability) through engagements, conducted in a manner that is aligned
with and supports the execution of the Petra Strategy.

Responsibilities:

Developing and implementing stakeholder engagement strategies and plans that align with the company's sustainability
objectives and values.

Ensure drafting and get to sign-off of policies and procedures for the implementation and execution of Stakeholder
Engagement and Management policies, procedures and processes by social practitioners at operations, to include:

  • Identification and capturing of stakeholder individuals and entities;
  • Profiling and assessment of stakeholder individuals and entities;
  • Establishment of linkages between stakeholders, i.e. geographical and social and mapping;
  • Identification and prioritisation of Key Interests, Issues and Concerns;
  • Development of Stakeholder Engagement Plan (SEPs) and execution of the engagements planned;
  • Review of SEPs and reporting on outcomes of engagement."
Support and service General Managers and Operational Social Performance Managers with resolution of specific stakeholder
engagement issues.

Identification of Company stakeholder engagement protocols within sustainable development.

Guide, coordinate and monitor Stakeholder Engagement and Management (SEM) Processes, including the operation's SEP
(as owner of the SEP) as it relates to sustainable development.

Implementation of Company stakeholder engagement protocols.

Undertake regular analysis of the information within the database to update and prioritize stakeholder engagement plans with
Executive Committee, Heads of Function and Operation GM

Ensure each operation develops, -signs off, and maintains a SEP with regards to its stakeholders, which forms part and is
integrated with the operation's overall SEP, according to prescribed methodology.

Establish relationships with key stakeholders as identified (E.g. DMRE, Local Government, Mincosa), on behalf of the
Company in general, and Stakeholder Custodians specifically.

Relationship owner of all national social stakeholders.

Stakeholder mapping per operation and across the Group in order to pro-actively identify and forecast emerging trends, in
collaboration with Corporate Development.

Conducting stakeholder analysis to identify key stakeholders, their needs, and expectations.

Leading and facilitating stakeholder engagement activities, such as meetings, workshops, and consultations.

Ensuring that stakeholder feedback is effectively communicated to the relevant departments within the company and that
appropriate action is taken. Ensure harmonious relationships established and maintained with key stakeholders.

Establish and maintain good working relationships and an effective / sound communication system within the Stakeholder
Engagement Function.

Leading the company's corporate social investment activities including selecting courses that align with the sustainability
framework.

Grievance Mechanisms - Manage the grievance management system for the company.

Community Development - Providing input into the development of community development projects that align with the
company's sustainability objectives and values.

CSI :
Leading the company's corporate social investment activities including selecting courses that align with the sustainability
framework.

Monitoring and Assurance:
Ensuring that stakeholder engagement activities are aligned with relevant laws, regulations, and
international standards

Preparing and presenting reports on stakeholder engagement activities to senior management and other stakeholders as
required.

Reporting:
Ensure that all Stakeholder Engagement reporting is aligned with standards, guidelines and schedules. Preparing
and presenting reports on stakeholder engagement activities to senior management and other stakeholders as required.
Report monthly on progress with regards to engagement with stakeholder, for Group and per Operation.

Ensure integrity of group and local social stakeholders on IsoMetrix database, liaising with Relationship Custodians and
Relationship Owners for the updating thereof.
