OUR CLIENT IS A FREIGHT FOWARDER IN CAPE TOWN WHO COORDINATE INTERNATIONAL MOVEMENT OF CARGO FOR IMPORTERS & EXPORTERS (OR THEIR AGENTS IN OTHER PARTS OF THE WORLD).

They would like to appoint a Freight Forwarder who has a minimum of 2 years' logistics experience in international movement of cargo (Air Freight, Sea Freight, Road Freight) and courier express shipments.

Shipping experience to SADC countries is preferable.

WHAT DO FREIGHT FORWARDERS DO ON A DAILY BASIS?

  • QUOTE - estimations and sales
  • Analyze clients' needs
  • Source adequate service providers and transporters
  • Assess the right selling price
  • Package and sell the comprehensive offer to clients
  • SHIP (handle shipments once awarded) -
    operations
  • Meticulously organize and check shipping documentation
  • Timely arrange bookings, inspections, and any requirements specific to shipment
  • Organize collection / loading / delivery / offloading / storage ( ) as needed
  • Follow up with transporters and any service providers involved along the chain
  • Provide feedback to clients at every step of the shipments' operations
  • INVOICE AND FINALISE -

  • Check and capture invoices from service providers in the accounting system
  • Initiate payment to service providers at the right time
  • Collect payment from clients at the right time
  • Organise and save documentation to finalise and close the file
