JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for the successful initiation, implementation and finalisation of projects on site.

In the execution of their duties the Branch Manager is expected to plan and conduct quality checks with the agreed proposal cost and time parameters.

During the course of the daily activities, the Branch Manager will assist the Health and Safety Practitioners to conduct their duties in line with the accepted proposal requirements.

The Branch Manager will be responsible for the daily maintenance of annual budgets, cash receipts, expenditure, collections and individual KPIs.

The Branch Manager will ensure clear lines of communication with the clients management, staff, health and safety team and management.

The Branch Manager will be responsible for client liaison, developing and providing proposals, enhancing current products and further development.

The Branch Manager will look to expand the Scope Of Work by identifying areas of mutually rewarding interventions with each client.


MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Management Systems:

  • Working within a formalised quality management system, including procedures, document templates and reporting non conformances

Administration:

  • Initiating and maintaining projects and development
  • Financial understanding or creditors and debtors
  • Report writing, marketing
  • Planning and scheduling

Deployment:

Health requirements:

  • The incumbent is expected to be able to work in a variety of operational environments with exposure to:
  • Computer work
  • Fall risk
  • Enclosed spaces

  • Poor lighting
  • Chemicals
  • Electricity / power

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Grade 1
  • Certificate at NQF 5 or equivalent (RPL) / National Certificate / Diploma in HSE
  • SAIOSH Professional Registration

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • 5 years experience in a similar position
  • The incumbent must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as issued
  • The incumbent can and will be expected to travel and work away from home for periods of time
  • Well presented
  • Observant / Questioning nature
  • Well spoken
  • Disciplined
  • Good reporting skills
