Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and file legal documents, such as annual reports and company resolutions.
  • Support Group Company Secretary/Legal Advisor in statutory functions and compliance.
  • Prepare agendas and papers for board meetings, committees and annual general meetings (AGMs), prepare minutes and follow up on action points.
  • Manage logístical arrangements for board activities and the executive team.
  • Maintain share registers for Group companies and subsidiaries.
  • Ensure compliance with CIPC requirements and BO reporting.
  • Provide administrative support to Group Trusts.
  • Be responsible for maintaining structure charts for the Group.
  • Provide general administrative support to the executive team, including scheduling, travel arrangements, and correspondence.
  • Manage and maintain an efficient filing system for all company documents, ensuring easy retrieval and proper archiving.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and competencies:

  • 12 years experience in a company secretarial, administrative or legal support role.
  • Experience using company secretarial software (e.g. Profsec, Greatsoft or Infodocs) will be advantageous.
  • CIPC eServices Portal knowledge.
  • SARS eFiling Portal knowledge.
  • Trust Administration knowledge would be beneficial.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Enthusiasm for keeping up to date with legislation.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other office productivity tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.

Salary:
Commensurate with experience.
