Virtual Engagement Team (VET) Manager:


To proactively manage the function and use of both the iSHOUT app by our clients and theShoutLink app by staff at our partner organizations.

Manage the VET Team deliverables and provide the necessary guidance, support, and training to the business on the iSHOUT and ShoutLink apps.

This position will report directly to the Social and Behavioural Change Technical Lead.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric
  • IT/business related degree or certification, including Microsoft certification.
  • At least 2 years' experience in a management role.
  • Demonstrated comfort with csv files, app management, database management and data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience in app development and/or app monitoring is preferable.
  • Driver's license and own transport.

Duties and Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the three VET Officers, one in North West and two in Gauteng.
  • Supervise the VET Officers and provide the required support, training and development to improve their skill levels.
  • Liaise with the VET Officers to ensure that app content, such as events, service locator is aligned with the field teams.
  • Work with the Head of Programs to ensure the app is continuously evolving and aligned to the life skills programs and biomedical services we offer.
  • Liaise with members of the executive and regional management to ensure relevant, appropriate, and timely information is conveyed on the iSHOUT App.
  • Manage the overall client experience on the iSHOUT and ShoutLink apps, which includes making suggestions for app updates and working with IT to detail specifications and purpose of updates; ensuring technical challenges are addressed; and ensuring client feedback is gathered, heard and actioned (iSHOUT clients are youth served by Shout, ShoutLink clients are the staff at our partner organizations.
  • Provide oversight and communication to partner organizations on the use of ShoutLink, identifying and resolving app and user challenges.
  • Provide oversight on the function and frequency of the AGYW virtual dialogues.
  • Ensure the VET Officers are timeously addressing clients' needs arising on the app.
  • Ensure appropriate communication to clients on any app problems or bugs.
  • Submit weekly reports, monitor and report on app usage.
  • Work with the Technical Director and SBC Technical Lead to ensure the app is continuously evolving and aligned to the life skills programs and biomedical services we offer.
  • Continuously seek new AGYWrelevant resources, information and virtual partners (other targeted population content may be needed as new projects arise).
  • Collaborate with all multiple business areas to deliver the best in class service and client experience on our platforms.
  • Provide training to Shout and CMT staff on the iSHOUT and Shoutlink apps, as needed.
  • Conduct any other necessary work related to the smooth functioning of the iSHOUT And Shoutlink apps.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in languages common within the region, particularly isiZulu and Setswana.
  • Some level of experience working with adolescent girls and young women (AGYW).
  • A strong focus on customer service and experience.
  • Ability to research and network for AGYWrelevant content and linkages.
  • Ability to evaluate content and linkages for relevance and legitimacy.
  • Ability to coordinate and collaborate with multiple departments.
  • The ability to work well in teams.
  • Leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Basic knowledge of HIV and sexual reproductive health is preferable.
