Training Consultant: Insurance

Job Purpose:

The position will be responsible for knowledge and skills transfer through facilitating individual and group training within the insurance enviroment as well as coaching interventions relating to industry best practice and iMasFinance values

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Work with line managers to identify training and development needs.
  • Design and develop fitforpurpose training programme and material, including assessments.
  • Plan and schedule training sessions, including booking venues and relevant training resources.
  • Conduct face to face classroom training as well as virtual/online training.
  • Facilitate oneonone coaching sessions.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of training and learning interventions
  • Track training progress and keep attendance records up to date.
  • Ensure compliance training eg, CPD is implemented according to annual schedule.
  • Compile monthly reports and assist with submission of Workplace Skills Plan and Annual Training Report

Qualifications:

  • OD ETDP Diploma /Human Resources Development or equivalent.
  • Qualified as trainer and assessor.
  • Insurance NQF 4 qualification is an advantage.
  • Certificate in eLearning content development is an advantage.
  • RE Examination (Representatives) an advantage


Driving License
  • Manual.

Experience:

  • 34 years' experience working as insurance trainer.
  • Exposure to mentoring and coaching is desirable.
  • 2 years' experience in the development of training material is an advantage.
  • One year experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) an advantage.
  • One year experience facilitating online/virtual training an advantage.
  • One year experience in eLearning content development an advantage
  • Experience in insurance sales, customer service or claims is an advantage

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Training, presentation, and coaching skills.
  • Computer literate, (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
  • Deadline driven and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent customer service
  • Good interpersonal skills
