Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Your primary job responsibilities as trims buyer administrator is to assist in managing stock levels, receiving of ordered materials in good order and ensuring stock is not issued without a job card number as well as ordering of stock and non-stock items.


DUTIES:

  • Assist factory manager to:
  • Manage stock levels in such a way that we do not run out of stock to be able to complete orders and also so that we are not overstocked on slow moving items by setting up reorder levels for all stock items.
  • Ensure all stock being received is counted and captured on the system.
  • Ensure all stock issued is counted before being issued and signed out of stores.
  • Continuously check for ways and processes to improve cost.
  • Create Goods Received Vouchers (GRV's) and capture stock onto stock system accurately and in a timely manner.
  • All discrepancies on the purchase order and invoice are communicated to relevant department or persons.
  • Ensure that all raw materials received are correct to order, correct date received, correct quantity and price on invoice.
  • Ensuring that all raw materials are binned and racked correctly and in designated areas.
  • Timeous ordering of stock and nonstock items through the Quickeasy Software system
  • Ensuring correct pricing is on purchase orders.
  • Effective Stock Control
  • Ensuring stock counts are done on a periodic basis.
  • Stock count should be accurate as per the ledger. Any deviations of the actual count to ledger is to be investigated and appropriate actions are taken to correct stock counts.
  • Ensure that all raw materials are released on a FIFO (First In First Out) basis.
  • All obsolete and aged stock are communicated to relevant departments and/or persons.
  • Guarantee that the correct raw materials are picked and issued according to job cards.

  • Assist Management in reasonable tasks when required.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Matric
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office
  • Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance.

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

  • Administrative office procedures, practices and equipment: 1 year (required)
