We are set up as a digital nomad company working from different places around the globe with a small, but growing office in Cape Town.


THE ROLE


Do you have a
passion for East Africa, South East Asia and Latin America and are experienced in selling these as a holiday destination with climbing expeditions, safaris and exciting authentic experiences? Then this role could be for you We are seeking a
Sales Consultant
who would like to specialize and sell travel experiences to our clients based worldwide.


YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contacting a set number of warm leads per day
  • Managing follow up actions to close sales
  • Maintain a detailed knowledge of Follow Alice's product portfolio
  • Offer excellent client service with your knowledge and helpfulness to the client to ensure repeat business
  • Maximize revenue by making sure everything is thought of for the client's trip including added value offerings
  • Closings sales through to deposit and then handing over to operations & trip management

Important:

You will be responsible for your own client portfolio and a great client portfolio will result in an attractive commission income.

In order to build strong client relationships & hit your revenue targets, you will sometimes be required to work outside of office hours and on weekends (i.e., 7 day week shift including weekends with 2 days off in any given week).


EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • At least 5 years travel industry experience selling travel experiences
  • Travel sales experience from either a concierge, retail or tour operator setting or similar
  • Highenergy and proactive personality
  • Confident communicator, enjoy talking to clients and taking initiative
  • Excellent English, written and spoken
  • Ability to build rapport with agents
  • Very high attention to detail, very reliable, diligent
  • Able to work autonomously and take responsibility
  • Eager and able to learn fast in a rapidly changing environment
  • A passion to want to work for a startup that has a peoplefocused culture
  • In love with life and a sense of humor
  • Experience with Google workspace (Google drive, sheets, mail etc.)
