Pricing Consultant

Description of the role 

Responsibilities:

1. Rates


 

2. Management of non-standard pricing requests from distribution channels

• Utilise discretion to sign off the breaking of product rules (minimum/maximum entry criteria, early withdrawal, waiving of penalty fees etc) and approval of higher rates.
• Effectively resolve queries for appeals of breaking of product rules and requesting of higher rates in a timely and efficient manner through a thorough investigation on the history of the account
• Ensure all decisions act in the best interests of the bank and client as well as act within the Product & Pricing Policy Framework
• Consider both internal and external stakeholders during the decision-making process.

3. Query resolution and analysis

• Assist with interest and account queries on PB and ICI deposit accounts.
• Management and control of exception reporting from a product rule and pricing perspective for Cash Investments
• The checking of pricing data on marketing communications for consultants and clients for the product specials.
• MMF analysis on funds that qualify into the pricing basket
• Performing competitor analysis and reviews as required 


4. Projects

• LRE project (engaging with internal and external stakeholders)
Business testing, as required

Academic Qualifications

• Bcom degree in Finance or Economics

Experience

• 2 years banking experience
• Equation and RTFE 
• Strong MS Excel skills
• VB/SQL knowledge advantageous
