Candidate Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field is required
Must have proven experience as a Head of Sales or similar leadership role in the travel and hospitality industry
Should have strong knowledge of the African luxury travel market
Must have excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Should have the ability to work independently and lead a remote team
Must be a strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset
Must have the willingness and ability to travel frequently across Africa and internationally
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategies
Build and maintain strong relationships with travel industry partners, tour operators, and corporate clients
Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets
Identify and secure new business opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations to expand market reach
Oversee the sales pipeline, reporting, and forecasting to ensure sustainable growth
Work closely with the marketing team to align sales strategies with brand campaigns and initiatives
Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events internationally
Travel extensively to build and maintain client relationships and partnerships
Monitor market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities to adjust strategies accordingly
This is a live out position, extensive travel is required internationally
Salary: R45kpm-R60kpm (DOE)
