Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic individual to join our team as a Strategist. As a key member of our strategic planning department, you will play a crucial role in shaping the direction of our client campaigns and ensuring they resonate with target audiences.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning: Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop comprehensive strategic plans that align with client objectives and target audience insights. Consumer Insights: Conduct in-depth research and analysis to uncover consumer behaviors, market trends, and competitive landscapes to inform strategic recommendations. Campaign Development: Translate strategic insights into creative briefs and campaign concepts that drive brand awareness, engagement, and conversion. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with creative, account management, and other teams to ensure strategic alignment and seamless execution of campaigns. Client Engagement: Build strong relationships with clients, serving as a trusted strategic advisor and presenting strategic recommendations effectively. Measurement and Optimization: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop measurement frameworks to evaluate campaign effectiveness. Continuously optimize strategies based on performance insights. Thought Leadership: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in strategic planning and marketing communications. Share insights and thought leadership with internal teams and clients.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field. Masters degree is a plus. Proven experience (5 years) in strategic planning, preferably in an advertising agency or marketing consultancy. Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate strategic recommendations effectively. Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Proficiency in industry tools and software for research, analysis, and campaign measurement. Knowledge of the South African market and cultural landscape is preferred. Passion for creativity and innovation in marketing communications.
