AUTO24, the fastest growing certified pre-owned marketplace for cars in Africa, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager (B2B & B2C) to join our team in Johannesburg, South Africa. Reporting to the Sales Director, the Sales Manager will be responsible for leading and managing our sales teams to drive growth in both business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) markets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales management within the automotive industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.

Responsibilities

  • B2B Sales Responsibilities:
    • Manage dealer relationships and dealer registrations.
    • Monitor and improve sales performance with partners on cash transactions.
    • Develop and implement strategies to increase sales to business clients.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business client needs.
    • Manage branch leads and ensure effective follow-up and conversion.
    • Conduct price card audits and manage stock levels and aging stock.
    • Handle complaint management and resolve issues promptly to maintain dealer satisfaction.

  • B2C Sales Responsibilities:
    • Oversee the sales administration process for consumer transactions.
    • Set individual sales targets and monitor performance.
    • Motivate and guide sales executives to achieve sales goals.
    • Develop marketing strategies to attract and retain customers.
    • Manage and monitor reserved vehicles to ensure efficient sales flow.
    • Assist staff with HR-related queries and provide support for personal and professional development.
    • Oversee sales staff management and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in business, sales management, or a related field.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in sales management within the automotive industry, demonstrating expertise in both business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) sales.
  • Proven knowledge of automotive products and components, sales processes, and industry trends.
  • Expertise in setting and achieving sales targets, managing sales teams, and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with the ability to effectively manage dealer relationships and partnerships.
  • Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to analyze market trends, evaluate sales performance, and develop strategic sales plans.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills, essential for building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, working effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while ensuring the achievement of sales objectives.
