This role offers an exciting opportunity to play a crucial part in optimizing inventory management processes and supporting overall business efficiency.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing our client's inventory processes, ensuring accurate stock records, and supporting production activities through effective accounting and reconciliation practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stock Movement Accounting:
    • Accurately record and account for all stock movements.
    • Maintain up-to-date inventory records in the client's ERP system.
  • Production Accounting:
    • Account for all production activities.
    • Investigate and resolve any errors or discrepancies identified in production records.
  • Sales Order Allocation:
    • Efficiently allocate production runs to sales orders.
    • Ensure timely fulfilment of customer orders.
  • Stock Management:
    • Identify and resolve stock hold-ups.
    • Implement strategies to optimise stock flow and minimise delays.
  • Stock Reconciliation:
    • Conduct regular stock takes and reconcile findings with ERP system data.
    • Prepare and present stock adjustment reports for management approval.
  • ERP System Management:
    • Maintain and update Bill of Materials (BOM) in the ERP system.
    • Ensure accuracy and consistency of inventory-related data in the ERP.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Generate regular reports on inventory status, discrepancies, and trends.
    • Provide insights and recommendations for inventory optimisation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in inventory control, production accounting, or similar role.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with lean inventory management practices.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management.
  • Certification in inventory management or production and inventory control.
