Purpose of the Role:

To drive the growth and performance of the
Home & Living
category through strategic third-party retail buying. This role focuses on building commercially viable, trend-forward assortments that resonate with the millennial male customer. The buyer will manage supplier relationships, negotiate trading terms, and contribute to the overall profitability and brand direction of the Home & Living portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a Home & Living buying strategy aligned with customer trends, seasonal demand, and business objectives.
  • Source and maintain strong relationships with third-party Home & Living brands and suppliers to secure exclusive ranges, competitive pricing, and favourable trading terms.
  • Curate a balanced assortment that combines brand appeal, price competitiveness, and trend relevance.
  • Work closely with planning and analytics teams to manage OTB, ensure optimal stock cover, and drive category performance.
  • Monitor in-season trade performance and implement action plans to improve sales, margin, and sell-through.
  • Lead private label collaboration where necessary, ensuring alignment with Home & Living trends and the customer profile.
  • Conduct regular market research and competitor analysis to stay ahead of local and international trends in Home & Living.
  • Oversee product flow and delivery in partnership with the supply chain and warehouse teams.
  • Manage supplier SLAs to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality deliveries.
  • Support marketing and site merchandising teams with product selections for campaigns and promotions.
  • Assist the customer service team with Home & Living related product queries and returns management.

Key Deliverables:

  • A commercial, trend-led Home & Living range with strong brand appeal and pricing architecture.
  • Improved category profitability through negotiated trading terms and strategic buying decisions.
  • Stock health and intake aligned with financial and seasonal targets.
  • Contribution to exclusive offers and differentiated Home & Living product lines.
  • Strong supplier partnerships and reduced risk through SLA compliance.

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

  • Diploma or Degree in Fashion, Business, Marketing, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2–4 years' experience in retail buying, with a focus on Home & Living preferred.
  • Third-party retail buying experience is highly advantageous.
  • Experience within e-commerce or multi-channel retail environments is a plus.

  • Solid understanding of Home & Living market trends, brands, and customer behaviour.
  • Strong commercial and analytical thinking, with a data-informed approach to decision-making.
  • Proven negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to manage multiple categories and deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
