On behalf of our client, Connold & Associates is assisting a well-established medium sized enterprise, based in Midrand, Gauteng, in the recruitment of a Senior Accountant. This role is responsible for overseeing the organisation's accounting systems and ensuring the effective implementation and maintenance of internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Prepare monthly financial reports, including MANCO packs and Board reporting

·       Maintain the Cashbook and General Ledger - Prepare monthly Trial Balance, Balance Sheet and Management Accounts.

·       Manage financial controls, cash flow, and treasury functions.

·       Prepare budgets, forecasts, and capex reviews, present actuals vs. plan to management.

·       Monitor fuel pricing, tenant charges, overhead recovery, and expenditure.

·       Supervise Debtors/Creditors Clerk and ensure timely and accurate reconciliations.

·       Oversee daily fuel invoicing, receipts and banking processes.

·       Reconcile bank statements, process journal entries, and resolve discrepancies.

·       Manage petty cash and ensure accurate recording and reconciliation.

·       Ensure compliance with BBBEE and support audit and tax submission processes.

·       Provide weekly cash flow updates and monthly debtor status reports to management.

Key Competencies:

·       Strong financial acumen and attention to detail.

·       Comfortable presenting financial information to management.

·       Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

·       Clear and effective communication.

·       Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Minimum Requirements:

·       BCom degree in accounting or similar qualification.

· years' experience in a financial management role working in a medium-sized company.

·       High proficiency in Sage Evolution.

·       Proven experience in financial planning, reporting and month-end processes.
