A leading manufacturing group is seeking a results-driven Financial Accountant to support their Midrand plant. This is an opportunity to join a company known for operational excellence, internal growth opportunities, and a strong focus on continuous improvement.

You will gain end-to-end exposure to plant performance, cost analysis, management reporting and financial controls, while working closely with production and operational teams. This role offers the ideal platform for someone looking to grow into a senior finance role within the group.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, journals, reconciliations, and reporting packs
  • Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with audit and statutory requirements
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
  • Perform cost analysis and support operational teams with financial insights
  • Drive process improvements and assist with system optimisation
Job Experience and Skills Required:
  • Education:
    • BCom Accounting / BCom Finance (essential)
  • Experience:
    • 5- 7 years' experience as a Financial Accountant in a manufacturing environment
    • Strong exposure to costing, stock, and plant operations (advantageous)
    • Experience with ERP systems and management reporting
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, plant-driven environment
  • Skills:
    • Advanced Excel skills
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
    • High attention to detail and the ability to work with large data sets
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Non-Negotiables:
    • BCom Degree
    • Experience in manufacturing or similar operational environment
