Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Temporary Senior Financial Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements, analyzing financial data, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. This role will also involve supervising and mentoring junior accountants and accounting staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements

  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement

  • Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets

  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to management to inform strategic decisions

  • Supervise and mentor junior accountants and accounting staff

  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies

  • Participate in special projects, such as financial system implementations, process improvements, and mergers and acquisitions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

  • Professional certification

  • At least 5 years of experience in financial accounting, preferably in a senior role

  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and financial reporting frameworks

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

  • Ability to supervise and mentor junior staff

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Proficiency in financial software and systems

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: Up to R30 000,00 per month
