Job Summary:

This role is focused on
SHE (Safety, Health, Environment) Administration
within a mining environment. The job ensures documentation compliance, customer relations, and stakeholder management aligned with SHE standards and legal requirements.


Purpose of the Job:

  • Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of the mine's SHE plan.
  • Maintain an effective document management system.


Key Performance Areas:

1.
SHE Administration:

  • Maintain SHE documentation systems and update information.
  • Handle legal appointments and safety registers.
  • Support with Standard Operating Procedures and contractor management.
  • Support SHE financial processes (e.g., PRs, invoices, authorisations).

2.
Administrative Support:

  • Maintain SHE templates and forms.
  • Incident management and meeting minutes.
  • Submit DMRE reports via Samras.

3.
Document Management:

  • Ensure compliance with control systems and legal requirements.
  • Keep legal registers up to date.

4.
Customer Relations Management:

  • Manage expectations and deliver efficient SHE services.
  • Resolve customer complaints using technical knowledge.
  • Maintain relationships with HODs and GMs.

5.
Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Coordinate and manage communications with:
  • Employees, contractors, management.
  • Department of Mineral Resources and other authorities.
  • Visitors and external stakeholders.


Qualifications:

Minimum:

  • Matric
    (High School).
  • Administration Certificate
    (e.g., Comsoc, Samtrac, Risk Management).

Preferred:

  • Any
    Safety-related systems management certificate
    .


Minimum Experience & Knowledge:

  • 2+ years in
    SHE Administration
    .
  • Experience with
    ISO 45001 / 18001 / 14001
    standards.
  • Knowledge of
    mining-related SHE systems
    .
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation:
  • Mine Health & Safety Act
  • National Environmental Management Act

  • Mining industry experience is
    advantageous
    .

  • Contract : 4 months

  • Salary: R 21,500.00 per month
  • Location : Kathu Northern Cape 8446 South Africa
