Purpose of the Role:

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for planning, leading, and delivering strategic and complex projects across the organisation. The incumbent will manage process re-engineering initiatives, ensure compliance with relevant financial and regulatory frameworks, and oversee key financial operations to enhance efficiency, transparency, and governance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage large-scale projects from initiation to completion within agreed timelines and budgets.
• Oversee process re-engineering projects within the public or private sector to drive operational improvement.
• Conduct and supervise investigations related to compliance and fraud, including false invoices, false purchase orders, and kickbacks.
• Manage Accounts Payable functions, including Vendor Management, E-invoicing, Creditor and Debtor Reconciliation, Inventory Management, Credit Notes, Payment Processing, and Bank Reconciliation.
• Ensure adherence to financial management principles, legislative prescripts, and organisational policies.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to multidisciplinary project teams.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation for multiple projects.
• Prepare detailed project reports, dashboards, and presentations for management and key stakeholders.
• Utilise SAP and BAS systems for financial control, reporting, and process automation.
• Maintain strong stakeholder relationships and ensure effective communication across departments.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master's degree or equivalent (NQF 9) in Project Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistical Analysis, Auditing, Finance, or Forensic Investigation.
• Honours or Bachelor's degree (NQF 7/8) in the above fields will be considered where relevant experience is demonstrated.

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of
  8 to 10 years' experience
  in project management within the public or private sector.
• Demonstrated experience in process re-engineering, compliance management, and financial operations.
• Strong working knowledge of
  SAP
  and
  BAS
  systems.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver high-impact projects successfully.
