Role Description This is a full‑time, on‑site role for an Information Technology (IT) Project Manager located in Johannesburg. The IT Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating project activities, ensuring timely delivery and managing resources. Additional duties include project planning, stakeholder communication, mitigating project risks and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Collaboration with cross‑functional teams and commitment to delivering high‑quality solutions will be integral to success in this role. Ensuring the successful and timely delivery of software development projects by leading and managing the development team through Agile methodologies. This role combines Scrum Master facilitation with operational team management, ensuring developers remain focused, accountable and aligned to sprint commitments while maintaining a high‑performance culture. The IT Project Manager acts as the bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, removing impediments, coordinating across departments and ensuring transparent communication on project status and team capacity. Operating within an ISO 27001-certified environment, the IT Project Manager ensures that delivery processes support compliance, traceability and secure development practices, and completes annual ISO awareness training. This role also supports the transition to Model‑Centric Programming by ensuring delivery processes align with structured, logic‑first development approaches. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or a related field 5+ years of experience in IT project delivery, software development or Agile coaching roles Technical knowledge in Information Technology, including familiarity with IT infrastructure and systems Proven experience as a Scrum Master with certification (CSM, PSM or equivalent) highly desirable Demonstrated experience in team management, including performance management, leave administration and attendance tracking Proficiency in program management and project planning methodologies Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and experience facilitating Agile ceremonies Previous experience in a software development environment, preferably with full stack development teams Working knowledge of development tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Git/GitHub Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and coordinating dependencies across teams Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data and drive actionable insights Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration and stakeholder management Experience working in ISO 27001 or similar compliance environments is advantageous All AWS environments AWS Cognito Apache Airflow orchestration Seniority level Mid‑Senior level Employment type Full‑time Job function Project Management and Information Technology Industries Embedded Software Products Get notified about new Information Technology Project Manager jobs in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa. #J-18808-Ljbffr
