Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a business development manager and Sales Executive in the Events Industry, located in Durban. The Sales Executive will be responsible for generating new business leads, building and maintaining client relationships, and meeting sales targets. Day-to-day tasks include client consultations, sales calls and cold calling, generating new business leads, forming new partnerships, and negotiating with clients on quotations. The Sales Executive will also be involved in working with the event planning team and coordinating with them to ensure the successful execution of events.
This role is Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm at our offices in Durban North and is on onsite role.
The required person MUST love chatting to people all day and love selling and be a natural at it. They will be on the road a few times a week, so a vehicle and drivers licence is a must. We are looking for someone to start from
1st November
and hit the ground running.
Qualifications
- Strong sales skills, including lead generation and client relationship management
- Valid drivers licence and own reliable vehicle for the role
- Confident, extroverted and loves to sell/talk to people all day
- Event planning and coordination experience preferred
- Ability to identify client needs and provide tailored solutions
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Customer service oriented with keen attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous experience in the events industry is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field is preferred
Salary
R12 000 per month
Commission structure on new business brought in
Petrol allowance for business travel
Cellphone and laptop supplied
Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit a video interview, and then be invited to an in person interview, where a practical in person sales scenario will be given to the candidate to complete.
