An established non-profit organisation is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Finance Administrator to provide vital administrative support across finance and human resources. This is a two-year fixed-term contract offering the opportunity to work in a purpose-driven environment focused on organisational excellence and positive community impact.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Head of Legal and Risk, the Finance and HR Administrator will assist with daily finance and HR operations—ensuring accurate recordkeeping, compliance, and smooth internal processes. This role is ideal for an organised individual who thrives in a collaborative, professional, and values-based setting.
KEY FOCUS AREAS
- Processing invoices, receipts, and payment packs
- Assisting with budgets, expenditure tracking, and audits
- Maintaining financial and HR filing systems
- Supporting payroll and employee onboarding
- Tracking leave, timesheets, and HR compliance records
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel essential)
- Understanding of finance and HR systems
- Professional, service-oriented, and adaptable
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Discreet and trustworthy with confidential information
- Team-focused and proactive
- Diploma or degree in Administration, Finance, HR, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years' relevant administrative experience
- NGO/NPO experience beneficial
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to drive independently
- Must be eligible to work in South Africa
