Duties:
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to optimise collections performance and profitability.
  • Design and monitor predictive models and collection strategies across the full customer lifecycle.
  • Analyse portfolio trends, identify risks, and recommend actionable data-driven solutions.
  • Oversee forecasting, scorecards, and reporting automation in collaboration with the BI team.
  • Drive continuous improvement through champion/challenger testing and campaign optimisation.
  • Partner with operational teams to embed analytics and models into decision-making processes.
  • Identify and implement system, process, and policy enhancements that align with business strategy.

Education:
  • Honours Degree or equivalent - BCom (Finance, Economics, or Statistics), Actuarial Science, or BSc Engineering (preferred).

Experience:
  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in a similar analytics, credit, or collections strategy role.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing data-driven collection models.
  • Exposure to the banking or financial services sector is advantageous.

Skills:
  • Strong technical proficiency in SQL, R, Python, AWS, and Advanced Excel.
  • Exceptional analytical ability with a strategic mindset.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Focused on efficiency, continuous improvement, and measurable performance outcomes.

Performance Indicators:
  • Improve collections rate and yield %.
  • Reduce cost to collect and non-performing loan ratio.
  • Enhance portfolio profitability and net lending margin.
