Role Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled Local SEO Specialist to join our growing team on a full-time, on-site basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for improving our clients' local visibility through optimised Google Business Profiles, accurate citations, and effective local link-building strategies.

This role requires both analytical precision and creative problem-solving to ensure consistent ranking growth across multiple client locations. You will work closely with our SEO and content teams to deliver tangible local results, optimise online listings, and monitor ongoing performance using leading local SEO tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimise client listings on Google Business Profile and other relevant local directories.
  • Build and manage citations, ensuring NAP (Name, Address, Phone) consistency across all platforms.
  • Conduct comprehensive local SEO audits and implement technical improvements.
  • Track and report on map rankings, review performance, and engagement metrics.
  • Collaborate with the content team to optimise local landing pages and improve keyword targeting.
  • Monitor and respond to competitor activity, including spam defence strategie

  • Maintain detailed documentation of optimisation processes and progress for reporting purposes.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Top 3 Local Pack rankings for target keywords per location.
  • 100% completion rate for Google Business Profile optimisations.
  • Consistent citation accuracy and monthly growth in listings.
  • Ongoing increase in local organic traffic.
  • Improved review generation effectiveness from campaign requests.

Skills and Experience:

  • In-depth understanding of local SEO ranking factors and Google Business Profile features.
  • Proven experience with tools such as SE Ranking, Local Falcon or equivalent local SEO platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of Google Maps behaviour and local ranking signals.
  • High attention to detail, organisation, and process management.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a dynamic, fast-moving digital team.
