Finance System Support: EPM Administrator – HFM & FDMEE

Job Summary:

The EPM Administrator is responsible for the effective support, maintenance, and optimisation of Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) systems within a financial services environment. This role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of financial planning, consolidation, and reporting processes across the organisation, with a key focus on Oracle HFM and FDMEE. The successful candidate will possess strong financial acumen, an understanding of regulatory requirements, and solid data governance capabilities. They must be adaptable to evolving project requirements, stakeholder needs, and organisational environments, particularly within the Group Reporting function.

Key Responsibilities

System Administration

  • Administer Oracle EPM modules, including Financial Consolidation and Close (FCCS), Reporting, and Planning.
  • Manage metadata, user roles, and security in line with financial data governance standards.
  • Maintain and enhance business rules, data forms, dashboards, and reports to support finance operations.
  • Ensure all month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close deadlines are met.
  • Assist with quarterly board reporting and monthly group reporting using HFM.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation activities on HFM.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to analyse, design, develop, modify, test, and train on EPM solutions.
  • Support the IT team in guiding finance users through the close processes, particularly during quarter-end and year-end cycles, ensuring all EPM applications and interfaces run according to schedule.
  • Manage monthly Oracle patch cycles, including coordinating user testing, resolving issues, and deploying patches to the production environment.
  • Oversee the escalation and resolution of operational support issues relating to EPM applications, SmartView, and user access.
  • Develop and enhance Oracle-based solutions, leveraging solid scripting and automation capabilities.
  • Build and maintain metadata, business rules, and data reconciliation processes.
  • Gather user requirements, design solutions, and manage full implementation processes, including integrations and end-user training.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across teams.
  • Deliver results consistently within agreed timelines and budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes, policies, and procedures, identifying opportunities for system or process improvements.
  • IFRS knowledge is an advantage.

Performance Optimisation

  • Identify opportunities to automate manual finance processes and enhance reporting efficiencies.
  • Monitor and optimise system performance, proactively resolving issues that may impact financial cycles.

Stakeholder Support & Training

  • Provide technical support to Finance teams during planning, forecasting, and financial close cycles.
  • Develop user materials and deliver training to key finance stakeholders.
  • Act as a key liaison between Finance, IT, and external consultants.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent accounting experience.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle HFM, FDMEE, Hyperion Planning, and SmartView.
  • 5–8 years' experience as a financial analyst or systems accountant in a finance department.
