About the Role

As a Marketing/ Business Development Associate, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to meet company objectives and revenue targets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute on comprehensive marketing strategies to meet company objectives and revenue targets.
• Oversee the planning and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, email, events, and content marketing.
• Perform follow-ups (e-mail/calls) on marketing campaigns to set up meetings for sales teams.
• Collaborate with Sales and Product teams to develop marketing collateral, sales enablement materials, and product messaging that resonate with target audiences.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape to inform marketing strategies.
• Manage the company's brand identity, ensuring consistency across all communications and touchpoints.
• Drive lead generation initiatives through targeted campaigns and effective use of marketing automation tools.
• Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to track the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and optimize strategies accordingly.
• Cultivate relationships with industry partners, media outlets, and influencers to enhance brand visibility and thought leadership.
• Represent Slimstock at industry events, conferences, and speaking engagements to promote brand awareness and thought leadership.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in marketing, and continuously innovate and evolve marketing strategies to stay ahead of the curve.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, or related field; Post-grad certification (e.g. Honours) preferred.
• 4-5 years experience in marketing.
• Strong strategic mindset with the ability to develop and execute marketing plans aligned with business objectives.
• Comprehensive understanding of marketing principles, techniques, and best practices across various channels.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, derive insights, and make data-driven decisions.
• Live in Cape town
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate cross-functionally and communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and problem-solving.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
