FMCG Sales Representative
to join our growing team in Johannesburg. This role requires a dynamic sales professional with a background in FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) and experience within the butchery industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for expanding our market presence, driving sales, and maintaining strong client relationships, while also meeting set targets and KPIs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Business Development:
  • Identify and target new business opportunities, focusing on the FMCG sector, retail chains, butcheries, and other relevant clients.
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and potential clients, ensuring sustained sales growth.
  • Drive sales of J&M Famous Biltong's products through direct sales, presentations, and strategic selling approaches.
  • Territory & Client Management:
  • Regularly visit clients across Johannesburg and surrounding areas to maintain relationships and ensure high levels of service.
  • Identify market trends and opportunities within the FMCG sector to tailor sales strategies.
  • Provide regular updates to clients on new products and services, ensuring they are informed and engaged.
  • KPI & Budget Management:
  • Meet or exceed sales targets, KPIs, and budgetary goals as set by management.
  • Provide accurate and timely reports on sales progress, customer feedback, and market conditions.
  • Effectively manage product inventory to maximize sales potential and stock turnover.
  • Customer Service & Product Support:
  • Assist clients with product knowledge, troubleshooting, and ensuring they are satisfied with the products and services provided.
  • Address customer concerns and complaints in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements:

  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience within the FMCG sector, ideally with a background in the butchery or food production industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and expanding customer bases.
  • Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a customer-focused approach.
  • In-depth understanding of the FMCG industry, specifically in food and butchery products.
  • Ability to follow a structured sales approach while adapting to market needs.
  • Additional Requirements:
  • MUST BE BASED in Cape Town.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently within Western Cape and surrounding areas.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
