RESPONSIBILITIES
HR Management
- Managerial responsibility for the Human Resources department for area of responsibility (i.e. group of companies SA / AAR / AO).
- Accountable for the company's labour practices and ensures compliance with all statutory obligations and corporate policies and objectives, ensuring legal compliance of full human recourses and payroll functions.
- Keeping appraised of all labour and related legislation.
- Responsible for the development, implementation and administration of human resources systems, programs, policies, processes and procedures designed to attract, retain and reward employees in alignment with overall business strategy.
- Responsible for the preparation, implementation and administration of the group's personnel performance assessment system, including the analyses of results, and implements / motivates enhancements as needed, under the guidance of the Executive Manager.
- In collaboration with department managers, is responsible for the development, implementation and administration of job descriptions and an employee competency / skills records database.
- In collaboration with department managers, is responsible for the recruitment of personnel and coordinates equitable employment practices at all operations.
- Coordinates good corporate governance with regards to human capital development and deployment and maintains excellent relationships with the management, workforce and Government representatives as required.
- Full processing, reconciliation and management of VIP Payroll system to ensure timeous payment of all salaries and related payments to income tax department, medical aid, provident fund, UIF, skills levy, workmen's compensation etc. appropriate for each region.
- Full administration of personnel files, including leave monitoring.
- Payment, reconciliation and maintaining all contractor and temporary staff assignments.
- Coordination of international placement of resources working on global projects.
- Co-ordinate and assist executive management with succession planning of management and staff.
- Conduct, evaluate and participate in remuneration and benefits surveys and advise management team of best practice to achieve Employer of Choice objective.
- Co-ordination and assistance of all disciplinary, grievance and appeal procedures within the organization.
- Manage and facilitate the relationship between the employees and their expectations and the company and management's expectations.
- Maintenance of all human resource policies, including drafting and implementing new policies when required. Ensure policies are known and understood within the organization.
- Protects the organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Adherence to Yokogawa Code of Conduct, Anti-Bribery/Anti-Corruption policy, HR Manual, Quality Management and Accounting procedures and align with corporate objectives.
- Adherence to Yokogawa Authorization Rule.
- Abide by the company's health and safety policy by ensuring the following:
- Must execute work in such a way as not to endanger himself/herself or others.
- Must inform himself/herself about Health and Safety instructions and procedures and participate in organized training.
- Must take care of optimal working conditions by using equipment in the correct manner and in accordance with instructions.
- Must alert noticed dangers to the managerial staff.
- Respond positively to any other reasonable request pertaining to the job.
- Submission of relevant reports to Department of Labour
Training & Development
- Responsible for developing an Internship Training Program (Internship Program) for the Systems and PCI divisions.
- Responsible for an internal recruitment plan (internship, learnerships, apprenticeships, trainees) as a method to combat the skills shortage of trained Instrumentation Engineers/Technicians/Artisans in the Systems and PCI division.
- Responsible for adhering to the accreditation requirements for the University of Technologies for Experiential training P1+P2, and to arrange for Trade Test preparation for the Artisans from Technical Colleges for FET's.
- Coordination of technical training.
- Responsible for planning and coordination of training programs to meet the organization's development requirements.
- Submission of the relevant reports to SETA.
- Submission of with BBBEE Skills Development for Audit.
Qualifications and Experience
Relevant National Diploma/ B Tech or Degree in Human Resource Management.
BCom HR / Psychology / Administration
At least 7 – 10 years' experience in an HR function.
At least 5 – 10 years' experience in an HR Manager function
Experience in an Engineering/Technical environment.
Labour Relation Management
Experience with expat management.
BBBEE MC and Skills development management
Skills development and Seta Experience
Labour Department knowledge and experience
CCMA knowledge and experience.
